As 2015 comes to an end, we’d like to thank each of you for helping to make Ridersmate a success across the world. Today we actively sell into the USA and Australia and have new distributors coming online in January for Austria, Sweden and South Africa. We are also in discussion with two major equine web outlets based in the UK, making Ridersmate even more readily available to riders right here at home.
Over the months, many recognised parties have made great statements about the product, including the Bicycle Association of Great Britain, Motorcycle Industry Association UK, BikeRadar, Singletrack, Bike Magic, Gizmag, Cycling Weekly, Interesting Engineering, road.cc and Trendhunter. Joining this list just in time for Christmas are an additional two reviews from highly reputable sources.
Simon Weir, Deputy Editor of RiDE, shared this writeup in the printed magazine: “The 4in green plastic oval is designed to alert your loved ones to where you are if you’re in an accident. When rider and bike part company, a clip separates from the Ridersmate’s body and the unit sends a text to up to three emergency contacts, with your GPS co-ordinates… It’s easy to set up and easy to use… we can tell you this device definitely works.”
Meanwhile, Simon Brown of motorcyclenews.com tested Ridersmate for over 1,500 miles over the course of a month: “The unit clips to your bike (there’s an optional £5 attachment which makes this easier) and a lanyard attaches to your riding kit. Then if you have an unscheduled exit from the motorcycle, the lanyard pulls out and activates the unit, which fires off a text with your location to pre-programmed mobile phones.” This came with a rating of four out of five stars for quality.
Once again, whether you’ve purchased a Ridersmate for yourself, a loved one or a friend, helped to spread the word or simply followed us on Facebook and Twitter, thank you for making all of this possible.
Merry Christmas and we’ll see you in 2016!
Team Ridersmate
